Baby's First Doll

While I traditionally prefer machine sewing to hand sewing, I am more enticed by hand projects lately because they are less likely to call the attention of my toddler, who is fascinated by nothing more than my sewing machine.


I also love projects where I just happen to have everything I need on hand! So when a friend forwarded me this link to instructions for hand sewn felt dolls by Mimi Kirchner, I decided to give it a try. It was not necessarily a fast project, but I finished it in about 5 hours total work time and like the way it turned out.


I think it will be perfect for baby girl's basinet - if I can keep it out of big brother's hands!
